Our History
Before Carhart Plumbing, there was Charlie Carhart
Charlie built his reputation the old-fashioned way. Showing up. Doing the work right. Straightforward, no-nonsense service that earned lifelong customers and kept them coming back for decades.
For his son Nick, working alongside his father wasn't just a job — it was an education. For 22 years, Nick learned the trade from the ground up, absorbing a standard that didn't cut corners and a work ethic that didn't make excuses. From installing water and sewer lines as a teenager to earning his Florida Plumbing Contractor's License and managing large residential, commercial, and civil construction projects, Nick's passion for plumbing has been a lifelong journey. The lessons were simple and they stuck: be honest, be on time, and stand behind your work.
When Nick founded Carhart Plumbing Inc. in 2013, he wasn't starting from scratch. He was carrying something his father had already built — a name people trusted, a reputation earned one job at a time, and a standard that has never changed. That's still what drives everything we do today Carhart Plumbing was built on generations of plumbing experience and a commitment to doing the job right.
Today, Carhart Plumbing remains proudly family-owned and operated, delivering reliable plumbing solutions with the integrity, professionalism, and personal service our customers deserve.

This Isn't a Franchise. It's a Life's Work.
Nick Carhart didn't decide to become a plumber. He grew up as one.
It started in the early 1990s tagging along on job sites with his father Charlie — the founder of Charlie's Plumbing and a tradesman who built his reputation one honest job at a time. By his sophomore year of high school, Nick was officially on the books, installing sewers and water lines after school and on weekends. Not cutting grass. Not bagging groceries. Running pipe.
After high school, Nick spent two years building golf courses across South Florida — where he gained hands-on experience with heavy equipment and complex storm drainage systems that most plumbers never touch. In 2003 he came back to the family business, sat for the State Contractor's exam, and earned his license. For the next decade he ran construction projects for Charlie's Plumbing spanning single family homes to large-scale commercial, industrial, and civil work.
In 2013 Nick founded Carhart Plumbing Inc. — built quietly at first, on afternoons, nights, and weekends while still running jobs for the family business. By 2016 he went full time. That same stretch took him to the Bahamas, where he spent two years helping develop a private island for a client — the kind of project that demands a different level of problem-solving, logistics, and craftsmanship.
Since 2018, Carhart Plumbing has grown steadily from a three-man operation into the full-service residential, commercial, and new construction contractor it is today — still family-owned, still licensed, and still running on the same standard Charlie built decades ago.
