Plumbing New Construction

New Construction Plumbing in South Florida
From single-family custom homes to commercial warehouse builds — we handle the complete plumbing scope for residential and commercial new construction projects. Licensed, permitted, on schedule, and backed by a 1-year construction warranty. We work throughout Palm Beach County and statewide for contract projects.

New Construction Is About 40% of What We Do

New construction plumbing is a significant part of Carhart's business — not a side offering. We've been doing ground-up residential and commercial plumbing builds in South Florida for over 20 years, and our team has more than 75 years of combined trade experience across exactly this kind of work.

We know the Florida Building Code. We know how to coordinate with general contractors, stay on rough-in schedules, pass inspections on the first visit, and complete finish work without holding up a certificate of occupancy. We've done this on custom homes, high-end estates, doctors offices, restaurants, warehouses, multifamily developments, and commercial tenant buildouts across Palm Beach County and beyond.

When the project is done, every new construction client transitions into our maintenance program with a 1-year construction warranty included — so the relationship doesn't end at the final walkthrough.

How We Work on a New Construction Project

  1. Bid and Scope Review — We review the plans, ask the right questions, and return a detailed bid. We flag potential issues before they become problems on-site.

  2. Underground Rough-In — Before the slab goes down, we run all underground drain, waste, and vent piping per plan. This is where getting it right matters most.

  3. Above-Slab Rough-In — After framing, we run water supply lines and above-slab drain lines through walls and ceilings.

  4. Rough-In Inspection — We schedule the inspection and show up prepared to pass it. No back-and-forth with the inspector.

  5. Finish and Trim-Out — After drywall and tile, we return to set fixtures, connect appliances, install water heaters, and complete the finish plumbing scope.

  6. Final Walk-Through — We walk through completed work with the builder and owner, answer every question, and hand over documentation. The 1-year warranty starts here.

Plumbing New Construction
Why Choose Us

Why Choose Carhart Plumbing for New Construction

  • New construction is approximately 40% of our annual work — this is not a side service, it is a core part of what we do and what we are built for

  • Complete plumbing scope from underground rough-in before the slab through finish trim-out and final inspection — one contractor, start to finish

  • We coordinate directly with your GC, superintendent, or project manager — submittals, scheduling, and inspection milestones handled without needing to be managed

  • 20 years of new construction plumbing experience throughout Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties

  • 75 plus years of combined trade experience on the team — we have seen every situation a South Florida construction project can present

  • Underground rough-in done correctly the first time — because fixing a mistake under a poured slab is one of the most expensive corrections on any job

  • We schedule the rough-in inspection and show up prepared to pass it — no back and forth with the inspector, no return visits for corrections

  • Experienced across every project type — custom single-family homes, luxury estates, doctors offices, restaurants, warehouses, multifamily, and high-rise

  • Residential and commercial new construction handled by the same licensed team under the same standard

  • All work permitted and fully code-compliant — Florida Building Code on every project

  • 1-year construction workmanship warranty included on every new construction project

  • Seamless transition to a Carhart maintenance plan after completion — so you have a plumber who already knows the property for whatever comes up after move-in

  • Statewide availability for contract and larger new construction projects

  • Licensed Certified Plumbing Contractor — CFC-1426407

  • Fully insured — liability and workers compensation on every job

Services Challenges

The problems that derail plumbing scopes — and how we solve them.

Construction projects fail at the plumbing scope for predictable reasons: poor planning up front, breakdowns between trades, and a lack of consistent on-site management. At Carhart Plumbing, we've built our construction management process specifically around the challenges we've seen firsthand on South Florida job sites.

  • Inspection delays and permit bottlenecks — We handle permit coordination from submission through final sign-off, scheduling inspections proactively so your project doesn't sit idle waiting for approval.

  • Uncoordinated trade sequencing — Our team works directly with your GC and other subs to align the plumbing schedule with framing, concrete, electrical, and mechanical — preventing the costly rework that happens when trades step on each other.

  • Scope creep and budget overruns — We provide detailed pre-construction estimates with clearly defined scope, so change orders don't catch anyone off guard and your contingency stays where it belongs.

  • Inconsistent on-site supervision — Every Carhart project has a dedicated lead on site during critical phases — rough-in, pressure testing, above-slab work, and final trim — so nothing gets buried in a wall before it's been verified.

  • Communication gaps between trades and ownership — We keep your project manager and GC informed at every milestone with clear documentation and a single point of contact who actually answers the phone.

  • Code compliance and inspection failures — Built on 75+ years of combined trade experience and deep familiarity with South Florida building departments, we get it done right the first time — not after a failed inspection puts you two weeks behind.
